AirFit

With our use of sustainable products, we hope to pioneer the touch between humanity, utility, and environmentally healthy living.
AirFit was founded in Hong Kong out of the necessity to provide personal protection through the use of clean air filters installed in outerwear. Although there are many other locations on a national scale where our product would be highly beneficial to citizens, Hong Kong originally provided the inspiration for our product and its unique design. The production and promotion of our product is to raise awareness of a global issue and provide a sustainable way in handling its outcomes. Remaining in the heart of our inspiration, we use Hong Kong’s resources to produce our product in hopes to reach the needs of the Hong Kong community in pursuit of bettering the environment in which we live and breathe.
AirFit, a small ambitious company founded in February of 2015 entered the industry of air filtered jackets. The primary AirFit founders are Beaty McKnight, Aidan Toohey, Chris Van Vreden, and Daniel Wright, who came up with this innovative idea after living in Hong Kong with a first hand experience of the poor air quality and crowded commuting conditions where viruses are easily spread. We have developed a five year plan to ensure a healthy and prosperous growth on implementing cleaner air quality in Hong Kong with an after focus on expanding internationally.
To produce this business plan we spent time in metro stations, on the streets, and in clothing stores survey and researching about our product. We counted how many people wore masks in public already, using the metro station to count large crowds. We then compared that to the pollution index of that day to see if there was any correlation. This project showed me how much you can learn from effective and targeted research.
