Humanitarian Holiday
Humanitarian Holiday was spawned from
my final business class project. We were assigned the task of developing and executing a business plan and pitch for a new entrepreneurial opportunity that help resolve the refugee crisis and make a profit. The purpose was to teach us not only to think about the profits but the end user and potential users effected.
So my team decided to take a crack at the stigmatized and criticized industry of Voulturism. We wanted to focus on a way to expose more people to the refugee crisis and help those who want to help get there. This project represents my abilities in the business sector, which includes skill sets such as finances; marketing; documentation; customer services; and operations.
Hands down, our most difficult problem through out the project is finding a way to be socially conscious while making a profit. Trying to remove yourself from what would be described as a greedy move to make money off those who are stuggeling, and realizing your product does make money but also benefits those struggling individuals.
